We homo sapiens, are Ecological Companions – Ecopanions – to all living creatures on the planet. With that core thinking, I went on to live 4 years, i.e. from 2010 to 2014, in Todgarh Raoli Wildlife Sanctuary 250 kms from Jaipur on the way to Udaipur. The idea was to spend time in a forest while undertake conservation related work with the rural poor who live abutting the sanctuary. It was more for my salvation than for their empowerment. During this time, I came up with several projects that would generate business for the local people as well meaningful programs for the community.

To undertake these projects, Ecopanions became both a proprietary firm as well as a registered Society. Eventually, Ecopanions is an initiative to communicate the importance of ecology, the story of resources and lessons in sustainability to all age groups.
